Whether you are relaxing at home or entertaining with family and friends, imagine the ease of listening to your favorite music in any room of your home, even outdoors, with nothing more than a wall mounted keypad. Also, as part of your whole-house audio wiring, Absolute Audio & Video can install speakers in your walls or ceiling, under eaves on your deck, even disguised as rocks in your garden.

Whole-house audio and video refers to a centralized audio/video system that sends music, video and cable signals throughout the home. Because the system is centralized, the only components that need to be present in each room are the speakers and TV screens. Control of the system is made through a wall mounted keypad. The centralized components such as your DVD Player, Stereo Receiver, Satellite/Cable Box, etc. can either be hidden away in a closet or can be mounted in an impressive rack system display in your living room. With today's technology it is no longer necessary to have all the components in every room. It is now possible to have one set of components and enjoy them all in any room you wish.

We offer two types of systems: multi-room or multi-source system. A multi-room system allows you to listen to one selected source at a time throughout your house. Therefore, any of the audio sources you have connected to your home stereo system (i.e. Radio Tuner, CD, Tape, DVD, etc.) can be listened to throughout the home simply by selecting that source on your stereo receiver or pre-amp. Installation of in-wall Volume Controls will allow you to independently set the listening level in each room. The only disadvantage to the multi-room system is the lack of control in each room. If you wanted to listen to the radio in the kitchen and someone else wants to listen to a CD in the bathroom, this system would not let you accomplish this. That's where the multi-source system comes in.

A multi-source system, however, allows you to listen to different sources in different rooms, or "zones", throughout your home. Installation of keypads allows you to select any of different sources that are connected to your home stereo system in each room/zone. With the multi-source system, you can control your own selection and volume from where ever you are without affecting what is playing in the other rooms of your home or having to leave the room. For example, you could be listening to your favorite CD out on the deck while someone else is listening and watching their favorite DVD in their bedroom.

In new construction projects, the in-wall wiring is "roughed in" while the walls are open and before the drywall is applied. We also mount brackets for the speakers and boxes for the keypads at this time. Your construction project then proceeds as the interior is finished. Later, we can supply speaker covers for any in-wall speakers to the painters, so that they be painted to perfectly match your walls. Then when the site is clean, we return to install the speakers and keypads. Finally, we program the system and show you and your family how to use it.
